What is an unmoderated study?
Moderate / Non-moderate: what is it?
During a moderate survey (an interview for example), you are in front of a person who asks you questions.
For a non-moderated survey, it's different, you don't have anyone in front of you nor an appointment date: you carry out the survey alone, at the time you want.
What are the types of non-moderated surveys?
On Tandemz, you can carry out different formats of unmoderated surveys:
1. Survey
This is a questionnaire with closed questions sent to a large number of people. It can be more or less interactive: it can contain images or elements to be classified for example.
2. Navigation on a website
You have to carry out tasks on a website (searching for information, creating an account, simulating the purchase of a product or service...). At the same time, you will be asked to answer a questionnaire and even take screenshots. The actions you take on the website can be recorded.
3. Self-recorded studies
This is the same as browsing a website, with the addition of recording your webcam and microphone. You are asked to comment as much as possible on your actions, feelings and thoughts as you complete the tasks.
4. Journal
This is a type of study that is carried out over a longer or shorter period of time (a few weeks to a few months), where you are asked to carry out actions on a regular basis.
For example :
- Using an application for a month and answering a questionnaire every week
- Take a picture every day of what you eat
